David Takes On: Music

Let's get one thing perfectly clear.

I love music. I do. I love it. It's great. Music is the epitome of versatility, passion, genius. Music is the universal solution. Music is love. Music is art. Music is music for music's sake.

Music is the single greatest contribution to human civilization. Music is our shared cultural experience. Music is you. Music is me. Humankind is music. We aspire to live in harmony, our respective personal melodies intertwining, colliding, rising, falling, despairing, hoping.

Music defines us. It is within us all, whether we know it or not. Music cannot be created, only discovered. Music is infinite. Music has always existed and will continue to do so. Everything is music; music is everything.

Music drives us to create, music demands that we destroy, music is a force, music is a law of the universe. It moves. It moves within us and without us. Music is a conflagration, or a cool breeze. It is a void, or it is a whole. Music can. Music will. Music does.

Never Consider Yourself Taken On, Music.
